Cheston Farm is situated just west of the town of Ivybridge and only 15 minutes from Plymouth. South Brent is the local village just minutes away by car and well served by pubs, shops etc.

Being just 2 minutes drive from the A38 Devon Expressway access to Cheston Farm could not be easier.

Yet despite all these facilities on our doorstep, you can be in the wilds of Dartmoor after just a 5 minute trot up a single track quiet lane.

APPROACHING FROM THE EAST VIA A38

 FROM EXETER DIRECTION.

This is very easy. We are approx 3-4 minutes drive from the A38.

NOTE: Exit the A38 from the Wrangaton Cross Junction (not at South Brent) to avoid low bridge. Sat Nav Users: They may direct you differently and take you via narrowest of lanes!

Landmark for Wrangaton X Junction: Look for Ivybridge Park and Ride Signs and Cheston Camp Site signs.

Having exited the A38, turn right at the end of the slip road, passing north back over the A38. Turn left at the T junction, go past the row of houses, garage and post office/shop at the end of the terrace where you turn right up Green Lane.

At the top of Green Lane, turn right down Wrangaton Road, past Shute Cross, and down the hill between the trees. Where Cheston Camp Site is on your right our lane is on your left, so turn left. We are the first driveway on your left.

APPROACHING FROM THE WEST VIA A38

FROM PLYMOUTH DIRECTION.

You have options:

1. Easiest with lorries/trailers: stay on the A38 east bound, exit at the South Brent exit just after the Shell Garage (dodgy junction, be careful). Then turn right and double back onto the A38 Westbound to follow the above directions.
2. Fiddly route: You can come off the A38 at Ivybridge and skirt round the town following the old Exeter Road through Bittaford to Wrangaton where you turn left up Green Lane just before the post office. And follow the above directions from the top of Green Lane.
3. Scenic quick route: As option 1, exit for South Brent, but go left at end of slip road, and first left again. Left at T junction to pass Brent Mill Industrial estate. Stay on this lane past Glazebrook Hotel until you pass under a low railway bridge on a dog leg. Take first right (opp Cheston Campsite) and you will find us the next drive on left.

NEED ANYTHING???? South Brent is a great village with a Co-op, deli, café’s, pubs, pharmacy, butcher, etc. Wrangaton Post Office can serve your basic needs too or for an excellent fry up, look for Wrangaton Junction café, just up from P.O towards Ivybridge.
