RIDING SCHOOL - CLINICS - COMPETITIONS - LIVERY

Cheston Farm Equestrian Centre is located in the south of Dartmoor National Park, 14 miles east of Plymouth, two minutes north of the A38 and is also only 30 minutes from Torquay and 40 minutes from Exeter.

Cheston is one of the best equestrian facilities in the region. Beginner, novice to advanced/exam riders can receive excellent individual and group lessons by qualified, adult instructors on our horses and ponies. You can bring your own horse to enjoy private tuition or clinics with a range of instructors from BHSPT to BHSI or take part in competitions such as showing, dressage and show-jumping.

We have a competition standard 50 by 30 metre indoor arena, a 40 by 20 metre floodlit outdoor arena, rubber matted 5 bay horse walker, large stables and carefully managed turnout including  post and rail paddocks. Now add in some of the best moorland and lane hacking in the country all on the doorstep and you have an exceptional centre for the horse and rider!

Whether you are want to learn to ride in the riding school, train with some of the region’s best instructors on your own horse, compete at one of our events or keep your horse with us on full livery, we are now the obvious choice.

Pony Club

For the younger riders under 16 we now offer a range of activities with fully qualified adult staff. In 2012, we will become a approved Pony Club Centre and offer their full programme of activities and qualifications.

INSTRUCTION ON YOUR OWN HORSE

All levels are welcome with their own horse for one to one instruction or group clinics with both resident and visiting instructors, from BHSAI’s to BHS Fellows.

Horse Bed and Breakfast - NEW FOR 2012

Come on a riding holiday with great facilities, instruction and riding in Dartmoor National Park. You can bring your own horse or ride any of our team! From summer 2012, we will offer luxury farmhouse B&B in our fully refurbished 500 year old farmhouse. We can tailor a training and/or hacking programme to suit your needs.
